Our courses are designed to be accessible to everybody, so there are no entrance exams and no previous experience required. The courses are created in modules, with each module building on the last, so you steadily build your skills and knowledge in your chosen field.

How is it taught, and who are the teachers?

Courses are taught through our course materials which are written and developed by experts in the field. In addition you have round the clock access to a personal tutor, who is there to help when you have a query or require further clarification. Your tutor will also mark your written assignments and give you feedback to help you to further improve your skills.

What course materials are provided?

The courses are designed to be studied in modules, each with supporting written materials. In addition some courses are supplied with the latest version of software, so that you can practice while you learn - e.g. Adobe Dreamweaver.

What support is available from the institution and/or locally?

Tutor support is provided by Home Learning College.  Our tutors, as well as being experts in their field, are trained to provide professional distance learning support. You can access your tutor via phone, email or post for the duration of your course.

How is it assessed?

Each module is assessed by a written paper, which you send into your tutor for marking. Your tutor will provide feedback on your written assignments, helping you to build on your success.

At the end of each course you have the option to take an exam, which is accredited by a recognised industry body.

How long will it take?

Courses take between 60 and 120 hours of study on average. How long it takes is entirely up to you, depending on how many hours a week you wish to spend studying. On average our students study 3 - 5 hours a week, but with home learning you have the flexibility to study at your own pace.
