Become a Teaching Assistant - and discover the variety, challenge and special rewards of the classroom!

As you may know, the role and importance of Teaching Assistants has grown enormously in recent years. So much so, that in most schools they are now seen as having a vital part to play inside the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant your job would be to support both the teacher and the pupils in the classroom setting. This could involve anything from carrying out simple administrative tasks, to carrying out learning tasks with a small group of children, to offering one-on-one support to a special needs pupil.

Depending on the age group you feel most comfy with, you can choose to work in either a primary or secondary school. And you can even choose to specialise in a particular area - such as numeracy, literacy, or IT.

If you like variety, and relish the challenge of helping children reach their full potential, then being a Teaching Assistant is a hugely rewarding career. And the good news is that our Teaching Assistant Certificate course is a great way to get started.

You don’t need any previous teaching or classroom experience before doing this training. But by the end of it you will be eligible for your ASET Level 2 Teaching Assistant certificate - a recognised and respected qualification.

Start learning today from as little as £1.37 a day.
